Domestic Partnerships are best described as a civil contract entered into in person between to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and at least one is an Oregon Resident. Oregon Health Authority Declaration of Domestic Partnership form to Register with your local County.

What do I need to register a Domestic Parnership in Oregon?

  • Complete the Domestic Partnership Declaration Form
  • Print the form out on 8.5″ x 11″ paper. ( One page double-sided, or two pages printed single-sided)
  • Take to a notary and have notarized (Both parties must be present with valid government issued photo ID)
    • Benton County Records & Elections does offer notarial services for $10 per signature.
  • Bring to Benton County Clerk’s to file.
How old to partners have to be to enter into a domestic partnership?

The law requires that each individual must be at lease 18 years of age.

Do both partners have to be Oregon residents?

No. Only one individual must be an Oregon resident.

Are Oregon Registered Domestic Partnerships recognized by other states or the federal government as legal relationships?
