About
About the Records and Elections Department
Our Team
The records and elections department has over two decades of experience conducting elections, assisting with local records needs and helping residents celebrate life events like marriages and international travel. The team that handles this work splits it into two key areas: elections and recording.
Elections
Benton County’s elections are conducted by a full staff, led by the Benton County Clerk and their deputy director. In Benton County, the Clerk is an appointed official.
For elections, we collect ballots from official County ballot boxes and together with mail-in ballots, they are verified by a rigorously trained team of employees who represent a variety of political affiliations.
Recording
Recording in Benton County is handled by our trained staff, led by the Benton County Clerk and deputy director. This team includes three notary publics, along with expertise in record keeping and customer service.
Services can be booked in advance with the recording team.
