County Commissioner

This a partisan office that appears on major party voter ballots for Primary Elections. The candidates nominated in the Primary Election appear on the General Election ballot.

County Sheriff

This office is on the General Election ballot every four years. If three or more candidates file for the office of Sheriff, this contest appears on the Primary Election ballot.

County District Attorney

Anyone interested in running for Benton County District Attorney files with the Oregon Secretary of State Elections Division. The next Primary Election for this position will happen in May of 2028.

Soil and Water Candidate

Benton Soil and Water Conservation District board member positions appear on the November ballot of even numbered years. The next time these positions will be on the ballot is November 3, 2026.

Mayors and Councilors

November 3, 2026 General Election is the next election where voters can choose mayor and city councilors, city-dependent.

This office will appear on the May 2028 Primary Election. Contact your local party organization before filing.

Special District

Special Districts elect board members in the election that is held in May of odd-numbered years. The next scheduled Special District Election is May of 2027.
