Civil Ceremonies FAQ
Ceremonies require two witnesses over the age of 12 to be present for the ceremony. If you are unable to provide those, County witnesses are available for the listed fee.
Start on our marriage license page and complete your online license. Once you’ve completed and submitted the online application, book an appointment with us to obtain your license. Once you have it, you’ll need to wait three days (or pay to waive the State’s waiting period), then have your ceremony within 60 days.
A civil ceremony is a legally binding union performed by an authorized government official. It is recognized at both the state and federal level and considered by many as a non-religious option to couples who want to formalize their relationship without religious affiliation.
After booking an appointment, an authorized member of our staff will be ready to perform your civil ceremony on the selected date. Payment is due at time of service.
